It appears that the high cost of single family homes is pushing the demand for multi dwelling units which tend to be lower priced.
According to an article in The Globe and Mail; the growth in new housing prices has held steady for more than a year at 6.1 per cent.
Lower borrowing cost means housing should become more affordable this year, according to Royal Bank of Canada.
